PEOPLES BANK OPEN HOUSE

GREENSBURG STATE BANK

A Holiday Open House is scheduled at Greensburg State Bank for Tuesday, December 20^th from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Everyone is invited to stop in and enjoy refreshments with the bank staff.

WORLD’S LARGEST STOCKING DRAWING

Stop by Centera Bank, 135 S. Main St., Greensburg, to register for the World’s Largest Christmas Stocking. Drawing will be held on December 21st. Must be 10 years of age or under to register. Need not be present to win.

KIOWA COUNTY OFFICES CLOSED

The offices of Kiowa County will be closed on Monday, December 26^th in observance of the Christmas Holiday. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, December 27^th.

KIOWA COUNTY EXTENSION OFFICE CLOSED

The Kiowa County Extension Office will be closed December 26^th – January 2^nd. They will re-open for business on January 3^rd at 9 a.m. We wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy 2012.

FAMILY BAND TO PERFORM

The Prowell Family Band will be performing at the Carriage House on Tuesday, December 13^th from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. The Band will play a mix of bluegrass, gospel and country music. There is no charge and everyone is welcome to attend!

SANTA & MRS. CLAUS AT THE MEDIA CENTER

The Media Center is hosting Santa and Mrs. Claus for the Holiday Open House on Dec. 4. This coincides with the Holiday Open House and Parade activities on Sunday.

We will offer parents a snaphot video with Santa with an intro and final slide that say "Merry Christmas" or "Happy Holidays." If we post it on YouTube or on Facebook, it will be $5. If we burn a DVD, it will be $8.

SENIOR CENTER PUBLIC MEETING

The Kiowa County Council on Aging is holding a special public meeting on Wednesday, December 7 at 1 pm at the Methodist Church in Greensburg (600 W. Lincoln) to seek public input for the landscaping design and outdoor amenities at the new Kiowa County Senior Center. A representative from K-State Research and Extension will be on hand to facilitate. All Kiowa County residents are invited to attend.

COMMUNITY CHRISTMAS CONCERT

The United Methodist ladies are going to host a Community Christmas Concert featuring the Faith Ringers Bell choir.

Mark your calendar for December 7, 2011 at 7 pm. Bring a friend or neighbor and start your Christmas season with some special music.

MEDICARE PART D ENROLLMENT
The Annual Enrollment Period for Part D medicine insurance is OCTOBER 15 – DECEMBER 7. This is earlier than previous years. All Medicare beneficiaries who wish to enroll, review, or change their plans can do so during this time. Please contact the S.H.I.C.K. representative for Kiowa County—Carolyn Irvin will be available beginning Oct. 17th
Monday through Thursday after 3p at the hospital; Fridays at Haviland to November 4th which she will not be available and the next two Fridays will be in Greensburg. The Clinics will be closed on Nov. 25th for the Thanksgiving holiday.
