The Kiowa County Conservation District and Sunflower RC&D Area, Inc., working with partners supporting the Greensburg Area Community Trees Initiative including the Extension Service & Kansas Forest Service have purchased TREEGATOR watering bags for people who are interested in the survivability of their trees. The gator bags were purchased in bulk to reduce the cost and help with slow, deep watering once per week. It will continuously water a new tree for approximately 5 to 9 hours. The bags fit trees from one to four inches in caliper. We have available two sizes/styles to choose from. There are no tools, no timers, no hassles, just place or zip the bags around the tree, fill, and walk away! They can be installed in minutes, eliminates water waste and promotes deep root growth. If you are interested in purchasing TREEGATOR bags please stop by the Kiowa County Conservation District located at 122 East Illinois, Greensburg, Kansas or call 620-7232146 ext. 3.
