PAYING IT FORWARD
Two years ago the New York Says Thank You Foundation came to Greensburg along with several hundred other volunteers from across the nation to help with an “American Barn Raising” and help build the Livestock Barn on the Kiowa County Fairgrounds.

This year the foundation is headed to Mena, Arkansas to help rebuild another community devastated by a tornado in 2009. The reconstruction will take place September 2 – 5, 2010. The planned building activities are to build 3 homes and a 4-H community building!

We have secured accommodations at the Christian Motorcycle Association’s campground. The entire site has been reserved for Kiowa County residents!

If you would like to be part of the Kiowa County group headed to Mena, please contact the Extension Office at 620-723-2156. Registration for the event needs to be submitted on August 16th.
