COUNTY-WIDE GARAGE SALE

Kiowa County County-Wide Garage Sale will be held on Saturday, July 16^th from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Over 35 locations most are multi-family! Pick up a map and a listing of items at business on Main Street & Dillon's/Kwik Shop.

CALLING ALL KIDS FOR ART CLASSES

Summer 2011 Art Classes at the 5.4.7 Arts Center will be held every Monday and Wednesday from 3 to 4:30 p.m. through August 10^th.

· July 11^th & 13^th Artist Themed Workshop

Piet Mondrian Inspired Watercolors - Using Mondrain’s abstract art as inspiration, we’ll create watercolor paintings using geometric shapes.

· July 18^th & 20^th Coil Built Pots

Using nature and Georgia O’Keeffe’s artwork as our inspiration, we”ll create wonderful works of art.

· August 1^st & 3^rd Junkyard Sculpture

The name says it all! Using recycled objects we’ll create awesome sculptures. Bring more items from home to use, anything goes!

· August 8^th & 10^th Still Life Drawing

We will learn the basics of drawing, composition, and shading.

· St. Joseph Catholic Church is located at 820 S. Walnut, Greensburg. Services are held on the first and third weekends of the month at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday evening. NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION MEETINGS

· The Kiowa County Council on Aging meets the second Tuesday of each month at 3 pm in the Komatera Apartment conference room (810 S. Spruce) in Greensburg.

· The Kiowa County Historical Society meets the third Thursday of each month at 6:30 pm in the 5.4.7 Arts Center (204 W. Wisconsin) in Greensburg.

· The Kiowa County Kansas Media Center Foundation board meetings are held at the County Fairgrounds Community Building on north Bay Street, Greensburg. Meetings are held on the 1^st and 3^rd Thursdays at 7 p.m. Please contact Jan West at 723-3181 for more information.

· The Kiowa County Library board meets the first Monday of each month at 4:30 p.m. in the Haviland Branch Library (112 N. Main), or on the following Tuesday if the first Monday is a county holiday.
